It is with great enthusiasm that we present to you the inaugural issue of saunter lit & art journal: a platform dedicated to showcasing the exceptional creativity and talent within our school community.

 

We hope to provide an outlet to the talented creatives here at Muir as well as an opportunity to display their work on a larger scale.

 

Our mission extends beyond the mere publication of written works; it is a commitment to providing a space for expression and celebration of the diverse artistic endeavors flourishing at John Muir High School Early College Magnet.

 

Not just a literary journal— saunter is a canvas that embraces various forms of art, including digital media, film, music, photography, fashion design, sculpture, drawing, and painting.

 

Our aim is to cultivate a haven for all things creative, reflecting the raw and vibrant talent that defines the spirit of John Muir. As editors, we are driven by the belief that creativity knows no boundaries.

 

Our goal is to offer a platform not only to seasoned writers but also to those who may not have considered themselves writers or artists before. By inspiring the exploration of diverse creative modalities, saunter seeks to be a catalyst for student voice and self-expression.

 

In this inaugural Fall Edition: Words Interwoven, you will find a collection that mirrors the rich tapestry of our school's artistic landscape.

 

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to every contributor who stepped up and shared their remarkable work. Your creativity and determination are invaluable, and we encourage you to hold onto these traits as you navigate the ever-evolving journey of self-expression.
